Hey, Jell-O Sea
I had previously embarked on a mission to analyze what it meant when things did not go one's way. I did not complete it; it remains unfinished.
Did Kim Clijsters have to be so together today? Did she really have to hit that ace right after Vera passed her for a break point at 3-1 in the second? Did she absolutely have to win a third US Open?
Because, with her 2 Grand Slams, one would think it was not that necessary to prove she had mental fortitude. I concede that. Oh, but here I go again conceding stuff that are not for me to concede.
In any case, Kim was nicest when, in her speech, she made sure to tell Vera to "keep it going", and you know that she meant it (having herself been in 4 Grand Slam finals before finally winning).
Vera, on the other hand, acknowledged that there is a need to "analyze", and maybe to "stop playing doubles", and, most importantly, to "look forward." Vera, always confident and always self-believing pre-finals;* always trying to take charge of points and always producing pretty shots; and, recently, always on the verge of greatness but always just a bit needing some kind of emotion checker--thus just has to "keep it going" and push herself a little more.

And then they can replace Plate with Water Vessel.
And if things still don't work out?
"(W)hen I finish my career, maybe I will look back and I will remember some great moments. But at the moment, I will try to look forward."
Jesus, self. Pay attention.
Still, maybe, in alternative to looking back and remembering great moments, well you should--
forever paying the price for a life less boring.
Look for us, we were the whipping children, but no more.
Look for us ‘cause when the tables turn,
You’ll be saying a prayer to the great unwanted.
Singing a hymn to the great unwanted.
We will not be ignored.
We won’t take that no more.
-- The Great Unwanted, Lucky Soul
And so, when faced with something that really one cannot do anything about, one should--simply--move on. Focus on the good stuff. And make The World fall to its knees.
I am reminded of a certain time, a certain sound...

AM: As is said--must keep eye on the prize. Or, rather, the ball.
:) :)
A, if left up to us, the world would of (oops) fallen to its knees ages ago. Not to worry, it will happen yet.
Plus, Vietnamese cinema is ripe for redemption.
(Oh, and I noticed the emoticons.)
Let's spend some of our time in Japan to plan The Plan (when we're not hobnobbing with the cool youths).
What about the emoticons?
What else needs saving, A? refresh my memory, please.
AM, world domination, okay? Not dominatrixing. Haha. Kidding. I am kidding.
